It might not be as bad as you think. The WordPress platform is chosen for reasons much more than just being a content editor. The extensibility of it to provide things like social sharing, comments, and an editorial calendar make for giving it a worthwhile look. I wrote up a how-to guide on getting Wordpress to play nicely in Rails via reverse-proxy that I just re-used myself and I billed out 60 minutes of work.
